• September 29, 1961: Industrial National Bank of Providence changes name to Industrial National Bank of Rhode Island

• 1968: Industrial National Bank reorganized into a one-bank holding company named Industrial Bancorp

• 1970: Industrial Bancorp changes its name to Industrial National Corporation

• 1982: Industrial National Corporation changes its name to Fleet Financial Group

The Industrial Trust Company constructed this building for its quarters in 1893. It was located at the corner of Exchange and Westminster.

United National Bank's offices on Exchange Place (now Kennedy Plaza). The other half of this office was occupied by the Industrial Trust Company. Today, the former Hospital Trust Tower (Now Soverign Bank Tower) stands in this location.

To the north, the ground floor of the Industrial Trust building was occupied by the United National Bank, an affiliate of the trust organization.

The Newport Trust/Industrial Trust building at 303 Thames Street in Newport, built in 1902 and demolished in 1972.

The Industrial Trust branch in Warren, built to succeed the National Hope Bank and four other banks in town.
