Rhode Island Central Bank $2
April 20, 1814. RI-100 C14, Durand 360, W-RI-330-001-C010
Early counterfeit. Possibly after a design by William Hamlin. Forged signatures of Wanton Casey, cashier, and William Greene, president.
Genuine pieces with this design were the very first issue of $2 notes from the bank and are about 2/3 of the size of later obsolete currency types.
